Belle is living it up!

Cookie, now named Belle, was found abandoned after being hit by a car on a busy street in Mexico. Because of the injury, she lost the head of her left femur which means she has a shorter back leg. Despite the trauma she experienced, she was still friendly and affectionate to the shelter staff! She has a very sweet demeanor and is a social butterfly, but would still be a bit nervous in noisy traffic areas (duh!).

We received SO MANY applications for this doe-eyed princess, and we chose the best possible match in her adoptive family. It sounds like they agree, too! Read to see how Belle is doing today.

“Cookie has been renamed to Belle (like the Disney princess) She is doing amazing and has been the best addition to my home! I honestly feel so lucky because she is such a wonderful, sweet dog, which has been a huge bonus since she's my first dog! She is currently snoozing beside me on the couch as I write this email

I had been searching for a while and felt like I kept getting overlooked by other shelters and rescues, and I was getting very discouraged with the adoption process. It's very frustrating when you go into this with the best intentions, spend all the time filling out applications, and don't even hear back from anyone. But you both and your team have been so amazing with communication, making the process easy and seamless, and I'm just very thankful that you were able to see that I would be a good fit for Belle.
