Loki is LOVING the Pacific Northwest!

This adoption story is so special to us here for a couple of reasons. First, this adopter is the SAME PERSON who adopted OUR VERY FIRST DOG, LOU! She took on Loki, who is one of the very first dogs we had posted. We were searching for a home for months for him with no luck, but thankfully she saw his little face and couldn’t resist!

Luckily, Loki and Lou have become best of friend with their sister!

Here is what his new family had to say when we checked in:

“Loki aka Mr. Moo, became a Canadian on October 29/2022 and has been living his best life ever since!

He lives in the Great White North (Northern BC), and there was a -20 cold snap and snow when he first arrived - but he has quickly found joy in winter activities thanks to his trusty buffalo plaid vest. (Which he looks incredibly handsome in!)

Loki has 3 sisters (2 of which are also from Mexico, and 1 is WCP alumni as well!) who have been showing him the ropes at home (sleeping on the couch, ripping every squeaker from every toy and  checking every inch of the floor for snacks), at the dog park (running free off leash, meeting all sorts of new friends and playing tag), and in the car (hanging heads out the window and feeling the wind in their fur.)

Loki is very intelligent and has learned to sit, shake, wait and has pretty excellent recall.

He enjoys food of all kinds and isn’t above helping himself to treats off the counter when he’s gotten the chance, but he has been learning to be polite and wait until he is given the go ahead to munch on the food from his dish.

He is a huge cuddle bug and it seems that he’s a small dog in a big dog body, because he will take over your lap any chance he gets. He also has his very own chair (aka thrown) that he loves to lounge in.

His tail is like a helicopter and goes in circles when he’s happy (which he is all the time).

All in all he has been the perfect addition to our family and we are lucky to be able to love him as much as we do.

Thank you WCP for bringing Loki into our lives, we all appreciate the work you do!”
