Ellie’s found her furever home!

Ellie (formerly ‘Paisley’) was rescued when she was hit by a car. Luckily, she didn’t have any long lasting injuries!

The shelter tried to find her home, but no one came forward. Ellie was about 4 years old at the time, and luckily an amazing couple wanted to adopt her!

Here is what her new family had to say when we checked in on Miss Maggie:

“Ellie was nervous at first in a new home but we could tell she has so much love to give! She let us give her belly rubs in the first few hours of meeting, and now she gets all the belly rubs she wants! She gets very excited when we come home and even when we wake up in the morning we get a very loving greeting. She knows just how to get some treats or scritches with her puppy eyes. 

She's a little shy with new people but easily opens up with a treat or two! She's spoiled by her grandparents who absolutely adore her as she's so calm around them. She's still working on being comfortable around other dogs, she seems to want to meet them but gets a little scared when she starts to get too close!

She's been great at walking on leash with barely any pulling but we'll continue to work on it as there's so many new smells for her! She loves walking/running in the snow even if she does get a little cold and we have to leave, she still pouts. She's also had no accidents at home at all and patiently waits for us to let her out. 

Ellie loves all the yummy treats so we've been working on training her, She's now great at sitting when we get her attention and has been doing well with other commands that will only get better over time. ”
