Thomas is loving his new coastal life!
Thomas was rescued after some people reported seeing him tied up with a chain on the roof of his "owner's" house. This was definitely no way for a young, sweet pup to be living (or any dog!!). We are so thankful Thomas has a new home on Vancouver Island.
Here is what his new family had to say when we checked in 1 week after Thomas went home:
“Thomas has been to the beach with some friends on a playdate.
He has made friends with the 12 year old Chihuahua that Anne and I doggysit.
He has ridden in a baby snugli with the Chihuahua, I think he appreciates the warmth of sharing with a friend.
Thomas has met some of the other dogs in our building and he has gone shopping at Canadian Tire ( which is dog-friendly here in Victoria).
He has been out while it was snowing but as of yet, he hasn’t had to walk through the snow.
He has a new winter coat.
He loves cuddling with people but so far has not shown any interest in squeaky toys or playing fetch.
His house training is progressing slowly as he is not quite sure where inside ends and outside begins.
He went to a Christmas decorating get-together in the lobby tonight where he met some more of the neighbors. He was very well behaved, but he was in a baby snugli so he was the same height as most of the people.
He is a charming soul and we are grateful to the organizers, transport volunteers and rescuers who have made his adoption possible.”
